The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday published the names of 73 soldiers killed during fighting with Hamas on Gaza Strip during the past day.

Meanwhile, the Israel Police listed 35 officers who were killed during Hamas attacks.

More then 250 people were killed on Saturday as Hamas and other factions launched a war against Israel, infiltrating towns, rampaging through military positions, attacking and killing participants of the nature music festival and firing thousands of rockets at a wide swath of the country in an assault that shocked and surprised Israel defense forces and also raised questions about Israeli intelligence failure.

Israeli authorities are still not certain about the total number of soldiers killed, along with the numbers of those captured alive by Hamas.

Israel’s health ministry announced on Sunday that recent Hamas attacks resulted in 700+ casualties and 2000+ wounded till now but according to Israeli media outlet Channel 12, the actual number of soldiers and civilian casualties is much higher then the figures released by authorities.
